Liberté 39 rue des vinaigriers
Benoit Castel is a funny guy , he's in his fifties but if you look at his eyes you can still see the plauyfulness of the child he once was . he opened this spot rue des vinaigriers based on 2 specialties from his child hood : the FAR BRETON & he created the Tarte à la Crème ( cream tart ) base on the one he saw in the movies . He realised one day that he never seen any of thos in a pastry shop and he invented it .
I recommand his Croissant ( one of the 5 best in Paris ) and Chocolate Bread ( very tasty )
he also opened 2 spots one in Galerie lafayettes Gournet and one 150, rue de Ménilmontant

Yann Couvreur Patisserie
just a glance at Yann Couvreur's resume and you could be sold but i prefer taking a bite to one of its specialties . Yann chose to open shop in a non very touristic area but in very busy parisian spot right at the exit of metro Goncourt in the new hype East of Paris . this very popular area of Paris is a partr of the phneomal change happening in the hipsterized eastern Paris Area . the gentrification of the neigbourhood goes along with an explosion of good food adresses . Yann Ciouvreur is one of those . his take on the millefeuille is nothing far from spectacular ( check the pic ) and it taste as good as it looks .
